Welcome to The Business Travel People Awards 2026

The Business Travel People Awards recognise individuals and teams in corporate travel whose professionalism and business excellence make them stand out from their peers.

Unlike other awards, they celebrate the achievements of the people in the industry, rather than the companies or brands.

The awards showcase the industry’s finest talent at all stages of a career and across all business travel sectors, including those working in frontline or back-office functions who might not otherwise have the chance to be recognised.

The awards are free to enter and nominations can come from line managers, colleagues, clients or from the applicants themselves, and from individuals and teams based in the UK or overseas.

Entries are judged by an independent panel of industry experts and winners are announced in a ceremony which has become one of the most prestigious and popular events of the business travel industry’s social calendar.

Account Manager of the Year

Recognising an individual from any sector of the industry who has taken a proactive and consultative approach to their account management role and has gone above and beyond to provide unrivalled customer service, care and value to their client(s).

Account Management Team of the Year

Recognising a team from any sector of business travel that has taken a proactive and consultative approach to account management and has gone above and beyond to provide unrivalled customer service, care and value to their client(s).

Meetings & Events Team of the Year

Recognising a team or department that has demonstrated the ability to provide excellent customer service – using an innovative, practical and strategic approach – to deliver meetings and/or events.

Business Travel Team of the Year

Recognising a team from any part of a business – IT, reservations, HR, marketing, finance etc – and from any sector within business travel that has worked diligently and collaboratively to make a significant, positive impact on the overall business and/or the wider industry.

Sales Champion(s)

Recognising an individual or team in any sector of the industry – TMC, aviation, accommodation, ground transport, technology etc – who has developed and implemented innovative and effective sales strategies and initiatives to achieve or exceed sales targets for their business.

Marketing Champion(s)

Recognising an individual or team in any sector of the industry – TMC, aviation, accommodation, ground transport, technology etc – who has developed and implemented innovative and effective marketing strategies and initiatives to achieve or exceed sales targets for their business.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Champion (s)

Recognising an individual or team from any sector of the industry that can demonstrate a firm commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and the successful implementation of initiatives that make them an employer, supplier or partner of choice.

Sustainability Champion

Recognising an individual from any sector of the industry that can demonstrate a firm commitment and accountability to sustainability and the successful implementation of initiatives to reduce the carbon footprint of their clients, their own business and/or the wider industry.

Sustainability Team of the Year

Recognising a team or department in any sector of the industry that can demonstrate a firm commitment and accountability to sustainability and the successful implementation of initiatives to reduce the carbon footprint of their clients, their own business and/or the wider industry.

Travel Technology Innovator – Individual

Recognising an individual in any sector of the industry that has introduced innovative and game-changing technology to make a significant positive impact on clients, colleagues and/or the wider industry.

Travel Technology Innovator – Team

Recognising a team or department working in any sector of the industry that has introduced innovative and game-changing technology to make a significant positive impact on clients, colleagues and/or the wider industry.

Mentor of the Year

Recognising an individual who has provided exemplary support and guidance within their organisation or in the wider industry to help develop future talent.

People Manager of the Year

Recognising an individual from any sector of the industry, working in any role (account management, reservations, IT, HR, finance, customer service, marketing etc) whose excellent people management skills have made a significant, positive impact on their organisation.

Industry Newcomer of the Year

Recognising an outstanding individual from any sector of business travel who has been in the industry for three years or less and who has shown passion and flair for their role and is already making an impact on their business and/or the wider industry.

Recognising an outstanding individual from any sector of business travel, under 35 years of age, who has demonstrated an aptitude and desire to become a business leader of the future.

Shining Star

Recognising an individual, at any stage in their career, who is delivering excellence and pushing the boundaries to help their business, organisation, sector and/or the wider industry.

Travel Manager/Travel Team of the Year

Recognising a travel manager or travel team excelling in their role and achieving significant, positive change within their organisation and/or the wider industry through dedication, innovation and strong leadership.

TMC Above and Beyond Individual

Recognising an individual in any role/department within a TMC that has gone above and beyond and has made a significant, positive impact on their organisation, colleagues, clients, partners and/or the wider industry.

TMC Above and Beyond Team

Recognising a team in any department within a TMC that has gone above and beyond and has made a significant, positive impact on their organisation, colleagues, clients, partners and/or the wider industry.

Industry Contribution Award

Recognising an outstanding leader, innovator and influencer whose contribution throughout their career has bought significant, positive change to the business travel industry.

Chair’s Award

This award is chosen by our Chair and is given to an individual or team which missed out on an award in their respective category but deserves to be recognised for their achievements.
